Originally consecrated in 2000, the Montreal Temple had to undergo a serious renovation beginning in 2011 following a report by our firm that demonstrated the presence of mold in the exterior walls. The collaboration between FSA Architecture and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began almost 30 years ago and has allowed us to develop a deep understanding of the design and construction requirements of the Church. In this case, the client decided to take the opportunity to renovate extensively and the work eventually encompassed almost 80% of the building. The project was realized with a Construction Management contract. Following the work, the Temple reclaimed its classical beauty while integrating technical innovations for the control of environmental systems.
