The new extension of the passenger air terminal is destined to accommodate the increasing volume of international flights between the capital city of Quebec and American and European destinations. The project program includes the main ticket hall, waiting areas, embarkment and search areas, primary and secondary inspection zones, baggage handling areas and passenger boarding bridges.
The building is designed to allow visibility onto the runways from a large waiting area on the upper level for both travelling passengers and the accompanying public. The new extension, as well as modifications to the existing building, contribute to the airport's new international image.
